The Black Noise is a dynamic musical duo based in Long Beach, whose style of music crosses several genres including indie rock, R&B, and soul. Vocalist Donovan Brown possesses a soulful, tender, and captivating voice which, when matched with the smooth and emotive stylings of guitarist Victor Ujadughele, creates a musical message that cannot and will not be ignored. The pair began collaborating together in 2010 with the intention of utilizing a vast array of musical influences including Tame Impala, Alabama Shakes, N.E.R.D., Frank Ocean, and Radiohead to create their own unique sound … fast forward to 2017 and these gifted musicians have done just that. Their first release, Dreams, encompasses this unique sound with a variety of gorgeous original tunes such as “Should’ve Been Real” and “There Will Be Love”, as well as a special cover of Radiohead’s “Creep”. In addition to the beautiful messages conveyed in their music, Brown and Ujadughele actively stand for equality and social justice. Recently they were featured in Unity in Color, an artistic photography series that represents strength in diversity, equality, and support of feminism and Women’s Rights. DAISY is a Los Angeles native band (voice/piano, guitar, bass, and drums) whose signature sound crosses a variety of genres including jazz, soul, surf, and rock. Front woman, Daisy Hamel-Buffa’s sultry and smoky vocals combined with her impressive songwriting chops, piano stylings, and commanding stage presence makes Miss Hamel-Buffa a relevant musical force to be reckoned with. Their most recent EP Smoke About It contains catchy jazz and rock -influenced tunes such as “Overtime” as well as soulful, sexy ballads such as “Way Cool Baby Love”, making the EP a well-rounded and dynamic debut. Recently DAISY opened for The Shadowboxers at the notable El Rey Theatre, a famous LA venue that has hosted many music greats in the past. Daisy, the lead vocalist, was also featured on the adidas Original commercial with her hit collaboration “Your Future is Not Mine” with Joseph of Mercury.
