Singer songwriters of the likes of Zen Thomas, are truly a gift. Zen is currently residing in and performing all over Los Angeles. He began his live performance career in Los Angeles as a street performer on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Now he is performing in local coffee shops, bars and even hosts performances in his own home. Recently he put on a benefit concert at his house with his roommates to raise money for recent devastations that have occurred specifically in Puerto Rico and Las Vegas. If you have a chance to hear him, DON’T WASTE A MOMENT … DO IT. He seems to never hit a wrong note which is especially impressive considering the number of his vocal runs, a signature of his style. Zen’s main influences are John Mayer, Bruno Mars, Earth Wind and Fire, and Daft Punk. Knowing of his influences, you can understand how he found his excellent blues/funk/pop inspired sound. His voice possesses a shining quality and his guitar stylings perfectly complements his vocals. His video series called Superhero Sessions consist of Zen covering various artists, his rendition of Allen Stone’s “Bed I Made”, from the series, is especially fabulous!
